Ordinary Aluminum manual wheelchair generally consist of four parts: a wheelchair frame, wheels, brakes, and a seat.
1. Chair seat: generally 41cm or 43cm deep, 40cm or 46cm wide, 45cm or 50cm high. It can bear weight and maintain body balance.
2. Backrest: There are high and low, tiltable and non-tilted points. The elderly who have better balance and control of the torso can choose a wheelchair with a low backrest, which can obtain greater mobility. On the contrary, choose a high-back wheelchair.
3. Wheel: (1) It can make the wheelchair move, also called rolling wheel. It bears most of the body's weight, mostly pneumatic tires, but also solid tires and low-pressure crude tires. (2) Hand wheel rim wheel ring: driving the wheelchair driving device, also known as the push wheel, it is installed on the outer side of the big wheel and is unique to the wheelchair, and the diameter is generally 5cm smaller than the big wheel. The hand wheel is generally driven directly by the elderly. If the function is not good, for easy driving, you can choose to add a rubber hand wheel or a thicker wheel. (3) Small wheels: control the direction of the wheelchair, also known as the steering wheel. It bears a small part of the body weight, and the tires are mostly made of soft rubber. There are several kinds of small wheels with diameters of 12, 15, 18, and 20cm. Small wheels with large diameters can easily overcome small obstacles and special carpets. However, the large diameter makes the entire wheelchair occupies a larger space, making it inconvenient to move.

4. Handrail: It is a metal bracket to support the upper limbs and prevent the body from tilting.
5. Foot pedal: It is composed of metal bracket and hard plastic board. It supports both lower limbs and maintains body balance. It is divided into fixed type, foldable type and detachable type.
6. Brake: There are two kinds of devices, metal or rubber brake, which are used to increase wheel resistance and fix the wheel.
7. Handle: Two rubber handles above the backrest of the wheelchair. The caregiver can hold the handle to push the wheelchair.
8. Tilting bar: It is a metal bar with a rubber sleeve at the end, located on both sides of the lower rear of the wheelchair. The caregiver can step on this pole to make the wheelchair tilt backward and the front wheel to lift, so as to go up and down steps or over obstacles.
